Birmingham has been and is currently host to some of the most incredible venues in the UK.  Gatecrasher, Hummingbird, Institute, Air [neigh Code], all of which have hanged their disco shoes up, to the current heavy weights in the game: Rainbow Venues, Lab11, Void, Nightingale and the big daddy of them all, the legendary Central Hall or Q Club.  The city is spoilt for choice when it comes to music venues.  Each of them offering their own unique slant on the music  scene.

However.

Venture a mere 2 miles or so out of the city and you will stumble upon an absolute bobby dazzler of a venue! WeLoveDJs would like you to invite you to The Hare & Hounds.  With a Birthday dating back two 1820!  This is not a place to be sniffed at!  Indeed, this Grade 2 listed building is somewhat of a local legend and with it’s recent refurbishment, is well worth a look!  It’s stunning.  Whilst a pub may seem a bizarre choice for a club venue, this could be no further that the truth.  For in the loft, (upstairs), the unique venue boasts the most incredible, intimate space for events. WeLoveIt.

Notoriaty  surrounds this venue, UB40 played their first ever gig at the venue in 1979, cementing itself as a key player in the Birmingham music scene.

T

o try and pigeon hole the venue to a musical genre is impossible.  The owners have the sublime ability to draw their audience from a full spectrum of musical taste.  The venue is regular host to Leftfoot, This is Tmrw, Moseley Folk Festival, Glasswork and the almighty London disco-diva’s Horse Meat Disco!

Last time we were at the Hare, we saw Giles Peterson dropping his tracks, the night was a sellout and an absolute journey through the genre of house.

Next week, the Hare is host to a local brand, Trönika; with special guest Mr Raltz, a Romanian Dj famed for his slick minimal house sets, the night is set to be another sell-out event.  Joining the Romanian are Birmingham locals Guest, Tomoloa and Callum Edwards.  This minimal/techno night is a staple at the venue and one that should be experienced.  WeLoveTönika.
