This Saturday see’s the highly anticipated return of the one and only S-Man, Roger Sanchez, to the Midlands original Classics night: Cream Birmingham.
Joining Sanchez is some of house music’s finest! SKT, Bontan and Philip George will be in residence in the Warehouse, whilst Ibizan veteran and Acid-House’s Colonel, Danny Rampling, is headlining the second room, along side Seb Fontaine, Tall Paul as well as Cream’s longest resident Anthony Probyn.
Last time S-Man played for Cream Birmingham, he blew the place apart, his mixing and track selection need no introduction! As much a chamealeon by name: you may have heard of Underground Solution, DV8, Tribal Infusion and Twilight, all pseudonyms of the Man Himself; he has the ability to tailor any of his bass heavy, thunderous sets to meet the wanting desire and need of crowds around the globe.
Under his new label ‘UTR’ Under The Radar, he has been releasing tracks that are underpinned by Sanchez’s Queens, NYC, hip-hop, upbringing. He has been quoted to say ““I bring back a lot of what I learned in the early years of my production… the really straight back-to-the-club roots of it. It’s taking on the elements of deepness, making it dirty again, adding elements of hip-hop, and just bringing it all to bear.”
His latest release “Runnin'” in collaboration with Boy George and De$ignated, is an instant classic! It’s warped synth and deep, rolling bass leave no doubt that this will be around for some time!
