Throwing a party any time soon? Well, those in the know, know that a certain smouldering eyed Dutchman, by the name of ONNO is as essential as Pringles and crushed ice. But don’t be fooled by that demure expression, this guy hits hard, a bass heavy mix of techno and house music that is guaranteed to make you shudder!
At 16, he was credited with being the youngest ever resident at Amsterdam’s Chemistry Club and has not stopped going since. Popping next door to Germany, he is no stranger to the wheels of steel at Panorama Bar in the monstrous Berghain or at the famed Watergate. Stateside, he has a reputation of bringing the European Techno scene, to the often hip-hop influenced scene of New Yorks dance floors. With NYC legends The Dog & Pony Show snapping at his heels along with the legendary Output in Brooklyn, this Dutch master is clearly displaying his talents for all!!!
His influences range from DJ Hell to Kerri Chandler, ONNO’s style of music draws on the hip-hop scene, he credits Biggy and The WuTang Clan as influencors on his production, which would explain the bass heavy sets that he unleashes behind the decks. Once described as “Gangster Techno”, ONNO ensures that the crowd get an education in all things heavy and deep!! WeLoveIt.
The Ibiza Carnival, which has had to move the The Rainbow Venues due to an increase in ticket sales, is set to be one hell of a party. ONNO alone would be enough to entice out the masses, yet the Dutch wonder is set alongside some of the industries finest….
